Shinagawa and its vicinities

Shinagawa Station is after Tokaido Shinkansen Tokyo Station and located in Takanawa. This station is convenient for access to various transportation. Around Shinagawa Station, there are a lot of hotels, upper-class residences, and embassies.
Shinagawajuku was the first post station of the Tokaido in the Edo period. It was located to the area around the present Kitashinagawa Station which is after Shinagawa Station. It was not only important as the post station, but popular as the amusement area in those days.
